Please email claire@sunspiral.org by MONDAY NIGHT with answers to:

1. Do you plan to join us for meals, and if so, which day are you planning to have your first meal with us (see below for more info)?
2. Do you have any allergies or strong food preferences?
3. Is it important for you to have a non-meat option as a main dish for dinner? We had very few vegetarians reply so we're wondering whether our gracious cooks need to prepare a meatless dish when they are planning a meaty main dish (only on a couple of dinners - all others are fully vegetarian already).

Meal Plan Details:

We'll provide breakfasts and dinners daily Monday - Sunday.

Sample dinners - exact schedule during the week may vary:
  • Turkey Chili (and a veggie chili option if necessary)
  • Indian Curry w/Brown Rice
  • Quinoa w/Grilled Veggies and Tzatziki sauce
  • Gazpacho w/Tostadas
  • Curried Lentil Soup
  • Pasta with Bison Spaghetti sauce (and a veggie sauce option if necessary)
  • Grilled Tri-Tip on Sourdough (courtesy of Michael) with grilled veggies
We also plan to have a salad or fresh vegetable/greens option at each dinner. A few of our food team folks are coming later in the week and will be able to bring in reinforcements of freshies! We've also heard murmurs of special desserts...

Most days breakfast will be self-served with cereal/granola/muesli and soy/rice milk, with fresh fruit and, on most days, yogurt. Coffee and tea will be provided in the morning. We may also have a couple of cooked breakfasts, but right now, we are focusing on dinner as the first priority. The main cost of the plan goes toward dinners.

Each person on the food team will need to volunteer for a food-related shift in addition to your general camp shift. Many of the meals are being made ahead of time and frozen, dramatically cutting down on playa prep time and effort (thank you food team!). We will try to keep it to one shift/person for the whole week but will need to see what our final headcount is before we can promise that.

Please remember to bring your own plate, bowl, cup, and silverware.
